The Matadero Madrid hosted a new Open Studio Day on 13-14 June 2025 to showcase the work of its resident artists, including SAiR residents Lenka Kubelová and Lea Culetto.

The exhibition Combing Through, on view at Škuc Gallery in Ljubljana from 11 April to 6 May 2025, presents Lea Culetto’s latest project in which she explores the socio-cultural significance of hair and hairiness.

The third partners’ meeting took place in Prague on Monday, March 24, 2025, hosted by the MeetFactory team.

A participatory community event at the edge of and in the forest of Tivoli Park was conceived by artists-in-residence Christina Zampoulaki and Adrianna Szojda.

The exhibition Coniunctio gives the viewers an insight into Lea Culetto’s and Lenka Kubelová’s work after their interaction with the Athenian cityscape and the Greek mentality, history and culture during their residency at Snehta.

Snehta Residency and artist Lenka Kubelová are organising one day workshop in the the context of the SAIR (Sustainability is in the AiR) program. At "Fermenting Stories" workshop we will delve into practices of fermenting.

On 15 November 2024 Snehta prepared open day at their residential venue. Snehta Residency is hosting two SAiR residents: Lenka Kubelová from the Czech Republic and Lea Culleto from Slovenia.

On November 12, 2024, Sara García Fernández, who had been in residence at MGLC Švicarija from September to November, presented a performance “moulding mourning mouths” showcasing the work and ideas she developed during her time there.

On October 24, 2024, the MeetFactory opened its art studios. Amongst the participating artists was also Christina Zampoulaki, the SAiR resident from Greece who presented her project on food waste.

The second partners’ meeting took place in Madrid on Monday, October 14, 2024, hosted by the Matadero team.

Sara García Fernández, SAiR resident from Spain, joined the residential art community at MGLC Švicarija from September till November 2024.

Lea Culetto, SAiR resident, curated video selection Bodyscapes. Among the selected works is her video Leftovers, which is related to her residencies within the SAiR project.

During her residency in Matadero Madrid, Christina Zampoulaki has reflected on the impact that the way we feed ourselves has on climate change.
