MeetFactory - Open Studios with Christina Zampoulaki

On October 24, 2024, the MeetFactory opened its art studios. Curator Piotr Sikora and curators Kateřina Pencová and Tereza Havelková presented the work of the current residents in a guided tour, as well as performances and the opening of new exhibitions in the gallery space.

Amongst the participating artists was also Christina Zampoulaki, the SAiR resident from Greece who presented her project on food waste.

Christina’s work focuses on food and supply chains in the Western capitalist system, exploring how eating habits are shaped by geopolitical forces. She views food as both a political tool and a living ecosystem that reflects our world. After Dinner is a research and event project that challenges the notion of waste as useless. Through menus, installations and discussions powered by food waste, it explores new communal practices in consumption and sustainability.
