MeetFactory - Open Studios

On May 2, 2024, the Public House took place at the MeetFactory in Prague, where Adrianna Szojda and Lea Culetto opened their studios to the public.

In her current project, entitled Leftovers, Lea Culetto is exploring the world of biomaterials and possibilities of combining them with human sourced pigments, focusing on (body) hair. The primary objective of her residency was to develop bioplastics that incorporate these materials. Additionally, her final project involved the utilisation of fabric scraps, glass beads and screen printing techniques. The project was kind of a love letter to her own body.

Adrianna Szojda's project In-between soil and debris: regenerative practices and methodologies with and for the damaged world traces interdisciplinary and non hegemonic regenerative practices that already exist within the community or in its close neighborhood, always understanding community as more-than-human.

„For the past three months, I have had the opportunity to spend time with the plants around me on a daily basis. I walked around Ke Sklárně every day, and watched their seasonal awakening with the arrival of spring. I decided to give more protagonism and actively introduce some of the plant neighbors I’ve met to life of human inhabitants of MeetFactory and I have chosen the territory of saunas and bathrooms as a place for this encounter.“
